Accommodations
Antares Patagonia has established agreements with some hotels and residential services in Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales. Our programs include breakfast and some dinners.
Food
We offer all kinds of food appropriate to each program and trip. If you are a vegetarian or have any special food requirements, let us know in advance. We know the importance of a good meal at the mountains.
Equipment
Tad Pole and Talus 33 North Face tents for travellers, and Mountain Hardwear Space Station dinning tent (6 mts/20ft), kitchen tents, camping gear for 30 people, camping stoves (MSR), Sea Kayaks and all the gear, Ice hiking and rock climbing gear, vans and four wheel drive trucks that will support every trip.
To Sleep
A good night's sleep determines the next day's mood, so a fundamental part of our equipment is the bedding. Sleeping pad: basically a portable and super light mattress, very thin, but thick enough to protect from the cold and damp earth. Without this, we're a lost cause, so Antares Patagonia provide for FREE them choose from inflatable or foam, with different thickness and price.
Other Considerations
On some trekking we will require horses or porters to move our camps and clients items.
Guides
Antares Patagonia has the most experience guides team in the whole region. All the Antares Patagonia staff have the Wilderness First Responder course (first aid on remote places), some of them are NOLS instructors or instructors in training. We have also professional white water kayakers and mountaineers, which give us highs standards of quality and safety.
Physical Requirements
We welcome any person in good physical condition and able to adapt to weather and environmental changes. You will need to fill a medical application form before the trip so the guides know essential information regarding your general health condition.
Insurance
It is very important that every visitor has an international insurance against accidents. Make sure you have arranged for this insurance before paying for the trip. It is worth considering that some aspects of nature are unpredictable and that we must be prepared for any inconvenient circumstances. We will send you a liability form along with your invoice.
Exploration Costs
They include: 2 hotel nights including breakfast; some dinners; meals during the expedition, kayaks, camping gear, shelters and campings fees, National Parks and reserves entrances and climbing fees , if required. Ice Hiking on Glacier Grey can be sale separately, Private transfers or public buses, depending on the program.
Rock and mountain climbing in the Torres del Paine National Park required a special permit through the chilean embassy or consulate at your town.
