Hernán Jofré
Partner founder of Antares Patagonia. He lives in Puerto Natales since 1996. He has carried out several first ascensions to granite walls in the park and mountains in the surroundings. At the moment, he is working in the creation of Patagonia Foundation, which objectives are : culture, environment care and education in the Province of Ultima Esperanza, Chile. [ Top ] |
Marcelo Díaz
Partner founder of Antares. He manages the office we have in San Francisco, California, where resides for more than 20 years. He loves the nature, and he is Director of Fundacion Patagonia, created in USA, in 2003 [ Top ]

Claudia Yung
Claudia is 38 years old, chilean and speaks English, French and Spanish. She fell in love with Patagonia and worked for 5 years as a trekking guide with Explora Patagonia. Claudia has completed several mountaineering courses and she manages to find time to guide for Antares Patagonia when she is not working on her main job.

Kerri East
Kerri is 30 years old & grew up in Cornwall, England. Biker, swimmer, snowboarder. She has been guiding since 2003 in Torres del Paine. Certified WFR, trekking guide. English & spanish spoken. Kerri says: 'there is a great feeling of peace when trekking these trails, and i love the adventure of it all! '

Luis Salgado
He works in the office in the reservations area, since 2005. He is the guy who makes possible the travel to Patagonia, looking for the best options of acomodations and excurtions.

Liliana Zúñiga
Lili has recently joined us at Antares and is in charge of the company finances. She is 31 years old and has been living in Puerto Natales for the last 5 years. She is also a dedicated volunteer with the local fire brigade.

Gerardo Silva
Gerardo is 38 and was born in the IX region. He is in charge of the logistics whilst our groups are operating and his job is fundamental in the organization of our trips.

Rodrigo Bahamondes
Ro is 31 years old and born in Puerto Natales. He is a climber, kayaker,mountain biker and skier (first successfull expedition in the Balmaceda Glacier in winter) .He is a certified ENAM mountain guide and has worked several seasons guiding in Patagonia. Currently, besides working for Antares Patagonia, Rodrigo is a partner of the group running the concession of the Pehoe camping and mountain shelter in Torres del Paine National Park

Mariano Cash
Mariano has been guiding in Patagonia the last 4 years. This 44 years old Argentinian , works as a kayaking guide in USA, Costa Rica, Zimbabwe, India and Turkey. His ample experience in this field is guaranteed by his Swiftwater Rescue Technician courses level 1 and 2. Mariano, as well as speaking Spanish and English, dominates the Portuguese language. Besides being our expert kayaker, he is an excellent biker and climber.

Tadeo Sotomayor
Tadeo, 26 years old, born in Puerto Natales, Tadeo has been an active guide since 1997 in Torres del Paine National Park, he specialised in mountain trekking an he is a climber and snowboarder; certified NOLS for WFR (wilderness first responder) mountaineering and sea kayaking in Patagonia; languages: English & Spanish.

Cahit Inal
Born in 1971, Turkey, Cahit has been in tourism since 1994 as a rafting, biking,trekking and seakayak guide. He has worked in Turkey, Costa Rica, Honduras guiding and doing expeditions before he got to Patagonia. In 2004 he moved to Patagonia and guided seakayak and glacier hikes for Bigfoot Expeditions. He has worked in Antares Patagonia for the las 3 seasons. He is very happy to be in Patagonia although he usually escapes during winter to guide other trips in Peru and Bolivia and is planning to stay for as long as it goes.

Cem Inal
Cem Inal(29 years old), born in Turkey and has been guiding in different parts of the world such as Turkey, Honduras, Costa Rica, USA and throughout all South America. He is a certified guide on Sea Kayaking, Rafting and Trekking as well as WFR(by Nols and Easpa). This is his 5th year guiding in Patagonia. Besides his mother tongue Turkish, he speaks exellent English, Spanish and some basic Portuguese with a nice smile on his face.

Serkan Yalin
Serkan who is 31 years old, has been guiding in Southern Patagonia since 2005. He has been in outdoor for many years for the love of it and included working as tour leader and guide in several countries doing different activities such as trekking, climbing, whitewater sports, seakayaking and canyoning which certified in, has studied Tourism Administration in his homeland Turkey. Serkan speaks Turkish, English and Spanish

Eduardo Soto
Eduardo is 27 years old and born in Puerto Natales, is an Ecotourism Technician and mountaineer trained for guiding in Patagoniaespecially. Is an active guide from 2002 and he is certified by the Patagonian Guide School in Trekking – Mountaineering and Horse Back Riding. He is a Wilderness First Responder WFR NOLS/EASPA. Also is graduated in Cultural and Biological biodiversity in Patagonia by the Magellan University UMAG and Leave No Trace Monitor by NOLS. Nowadays is the leader of the Association of Tourist Local Guides of Ultima Esperanza AGGTUE. He speaks English and Spanish language.

Alejandro Marilican
is 30 years old , loves the mountaineering , trekking , mountain bike , horseback riding and the exploration of wild areas in Patagonia , in order to discover new destinations for the visitors. Alejandro has a degree in Tourism , is certified in WFR (wilderness first responder ) CPR , Has a diploma from the Magellan University in Bio Diversity. He is native from Ancud , (Region de los Lagos , Chile ) , and he has been guiding and working in Patagonia since 2002.
